November 9, 2009 SA Senate Minutes Now Available

This week the Senate briefly discussed course registration, particularly with regard to students who had midterm exams coinciding with registration.  The Senators also discussed the Bookstore Advisory Committee, and some Senators expressed concern about bookstore prices and sustainable practices.   The SA government looked forward to hosting its third Fireside Chat, which included s'mores.   The Projects and Services Committee has continued its work on improving IT, taxi services, winter bike storage, and dining services.  Finally, the Senate extensively discussed the extent to which student surveys are required before Senators act on behalf of their constitutents.

Walk for Light

bluelight The Walk for Light is an SA sponsored bi-annual assessment of campus safety, involving analyzation of outdoor lighting quality, blue light phone availability, and overall impression of various areas.  A team of students and administrators from Facilities and Security are assigned to each of section of the River Campus in order to gather information for the final report.
